June 15th Note to Teachers

It’s apparent we are parents
by the way our heads are drooping
now that our little darlings
gaily summerward are trooping.
You’ve earned a rest, dear teachers,
and we thank you every one
for the learnin’ you have poured into
each daughter and each son.
Kind teachers, we adore you.
We adore you one and all.
But we’ll love you even better
when school resumes this fall.
