Buzz

BUZZ
By Carole Wagener, Coastal Dunes Branch

I am like a bumble bee
Yellow and black,
Sometimes stumble,
Sometimes attack.

But mostly I spread cheer
And happiness throughout the year.
I drop golden pollen
Wherever I go, like fairy dust.

I trust it will do its own thing.
New flowers will come up in spring,
As each seed fulfills
Its own special need.

Carole Wagener is currently writing her
first novel based on her husband’s letters
to her from Viet Nam and her time at college
during the anti-war demonstrations in the 1960s.
